fun as long as you don't have any expectations!
This really was a fun family activity throwing this magnet into the lake and streams. We caught nothing except for tiny rocks but we had such a good time doing it. It led us to an adventure down a stream that made for fun family memories regardless of how unsuccessful we were in finding any magnetic treasures. The magnet is super strong on the circumference, but not that strong in the middle. Each time we caught rocks it looked like a pebble donut on the outer ring. The rope held up well and the kids had fun tossing it into the lake.
