Reconsider your purchase of Tooobom

The model supplied is Toobom R39 which is no longer displayed on toobomworld.com. However, the R-39 e-Manual is still available for download. The R-39 came with a small 2 3/4" x 4" manual. The fatal flaw, however, is that the content of the e-book and the attached small manual do not match. Also, the R-39 menu selection headers do not match the manuals, and at least one header is incorrect. The original instructions for working with the recording are partly correct, but it depends on which manual you use. For example, you press and hold the record/save button until the red light comes on to start recording (meaning there is a long delay before recording starts). To pause the recording, I've found that pressing the record/save button pauses the recording. Another guide says to use the play/pause button to pause recording, but that doesn't work. There are three ways to play a recording. One way is to turn off the device, turn it back on and press the play/pause button to listen to the LATEST recording. The other two playback methods are to use the menu to find the correct recording file and then play it. Automatic voice recording works, and you can set five sensitivity levels from 1 to 5. Oddly enough, level 1 is the most sensitive. The playback volume depends on the manual used, but can be set from 0 to 25. The volume of 25 isn't as loud, and voice is better heard through plugged-in headphones. Speech intelligibility during playback can be quite good, but depends on the recording speed setting. Sometimes I used a factory reset because I entered some wrong settings and it wasn't always easy to fix the errors. Explain it with the first usage. At the moment I'm leaning towards going back, but I'll try one or two other highly rated voice recorders first (including a Sony device).
