Easy to install but screw is missing and cracked.

Bought this valve cover for my 2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ to fix a PCV leak problem. This has been a recurring problem with my car and in the past I have taken the car to a dealer for replacement but as my 100,000 mile warranty had expired my husband and I decided to replace the part ourselves. We are mechanically inclined and found the process of removing the old cap and putting on the new cap easy. Issues we ran into: One of the screws on the right side panel wasn't included, so we improvised and used a screw from an old panel. The attached photo shows the missing bolt circled. Unfortunately, the plastic on the lower left side of the camshaft cover is cracked, which caused oil to leak out after the car was started. Also, one of my cams bumped into this cover which could have been caused by over tightening, but we didn't even tighten this cam cover to factory specs before it broke. Not wanting to wait in the mail for another cam cover, I called my local Chevrolet dealer who stocked this part (an official GM part). and cheaper, $80 after tax. Another difference between this part and the official GM parts was that the screws on this cover are flat on the bottom while the screws on the GM part were pointed.
