Good price/tight fit

Valve cover solved my problem at a cheaper price. It also had everything needed to get the job done, other than a small RTV package. Add this little bundle and it's a one stop shop. It would have gotten five stars but the cover I received was a little warped. I left it under a heat lamp and it still fit snugly, but it eventually worked.

My best $400 saving was in engines and engine parts

Let me explain. I had no idea what I was doing. I watched a 6 minute YouTube video and decided to do this. The part was ready to put on (I opted for an additional torx head for about $5). After being enlightened on YouTube, I popped the hood up and put it back in place after 27 minutes (I timed it). The car started great right away. and a few days later the check engine light went out. Fuel economy is back! The dealership charged $485 for a half-hour job.

Do not buy. in parts

2 screws did not fit the head. The bolt bushings had to be adjusted to fit. Then after all of this was installed I drove 400 miles to work and then popped the hood up and found oil leaking around the valve cover. I've built or assembled many LS2 engines and that doesn't mean I'm new to engines. Do not buy. Please just go to your GM dealer and order one! You may be surprised, but the cost isn't much more or equivalent. I needed mine faster than they could get it. But I ordered one and I'm…

Do not buy! best engine parts

Put this valve cover on and during installation about 5 bolts didn't go straight into the holes so we had to hammer them in there and then after driving for a day or two the oil kicked in different places. First it was various screws and then we sealed them with silicone and it worked, but we had to do it with at least 5 or 6. It then started leaking at the rear bottom edge, causing oil to spill all over the A/C band and hose. The padding was NOT thick enough. DO NOT BUY! Just drive to the…

Faulty part in parts

This is the second time I have bought this part. The first was good. So when I needed a second one for my 2014 Cruze I bought a second one but after installing the part I started having other auto twitch issues have tried various things and was able to figure it out. After a few months we had to call in a mechanic. We told him we fixed it so we tried a few things and finally after hours of looking around we decided to pull the part and ordered a new one finding out the part was defective, there

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Easy to install but screw is missing and cracked.

Bought this valve cover for my 2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ to fix a PCV leak problem. This has been a recurring problem with my car and in the past I have taken the car to a dealer for replacement but as my 100,000 mile warranty had expired my husband and I decided to replace the part ourselves. We are mechanically inclined and found the process of removing the old cap and putting on the new cap easy. Issues we ran into: One of the screws on the right side panel wasn't included, so we improvised and…
