I have a bedroom door (which is used as an office) that doesn't stay open. I decided to buy one like this instead of the expensive hinge mount. The penguin is cute, easy to slide and put back in place and holds the door open with no problems - the door isn't too heavy to push the penguin until he's balanced if that makes sense - sometimes the door holders aren't heavy enough to hold the door fully open so that when using the door stay, the door moves forward until the weight of the door is balanced by the weight of the door stay. This doesn't happen. Penguin is holding the door open at my request.
