I've tried hanging them up and then using them immediately, after waiting a day, after waiting a week I ordered pure alcohol to clean clean walls (I've waited a long time for this in the days of CoVID). You will never stick to the wall. If you press them against a wall they will stay, but if you put weight on them or touch them to hang something they will come loose on their own. They are very easy to remove as they fall off. Other products might be fine with it, but these little ones "don't stick hard," as they say on the packaging. 3M stays in your lane.
