I use this filter as an oversize filter for my jeep. It fits the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4.7L HO V8 engine, as well as several other cars (I believe Dodge uses this engine too). A larger filter holds more dirt and filters oil faster. I didn't notice any difference in oil pressure, I don't think a bigger filter would be enough to change that. Using a larger filter gives you a 99.9% filter advantage without a significant reduction in filter speed. High pressure "Racing" filters are great because they get the oil flowing faster, but at the cost of only 99% filtration, meaning 10 times more particulates remain unfiltered than 99.9% filtration. A larger filter with 99.9% filtering means you get the best of both worlds.
