Review on Monoprice Blackbird 4K 4x1 HDMI Switch with Audio Extractor - Black, HDR, 18Gbps Refresh Rates, YUV 4:4:4 by Brady Shayotovich

Since my DVD player is connected to a monitor without speakers, I need an HDMI audio splitter. My late wife bought it a year ago but it broke shortly after her death. I've since bought two more, but they, too, fell into disrepair quickly. And it goes without saying that these were cheap Chinese versions. Enough, so I looked for a better one and found this Monoprice model. Trust me what a difference. With previous models, the sound was always so muffled that I had to turn up the volume on the amp, causing the speakers to constantly buzz. Also, audio splitters often had to be unplugged and plugged back in to prevent loud hum even at low volume. However, Monoprice Blackbird is much better. The volume is higher (which I think means there's little to no signal loss) and that means there's no more buzzing. Highly recommended!
