Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Bell Comfort Cruiser Bike Tires: Unbeatable Flat Defense for a Smooth Ride by Vedavyas Fleming

Who designed this tire?

This was the worst tire I have ever bought. I've never had the chance to ride [it] so I can't confirm its performance. First, I can understand the tire's inflexible nature due to the added protection it advertises. It was incredibly difficult for me to mount the tire onto the rim, so much so that I was afraid to patch the rim or create burrs. Once on the rim I had to turn around and remove the demon tire to replace the now leaking tube after all the manipulation I had to do. For the life of me I couldn't get that tire off the rim. I cut the tire across in a few places around the rim, and when it came to the tyre's top reinforced bead (a type of braided metal) I had to cut pretty much every single wire in that braid to pull the tire off. Once it was off the rim, the inevitable burrs were machined and polished. I would have been pissed as hell if the rim got pinched during that hell of an experience. The diameter of the tire matched the rim size, and the rim was designed to fit the width of the Bell tire. The tire's carcass and puncture-resistant area were all that [apparently] needed reinforcement. I'm not sure why the bead needs to be reinforced more than the carcass as damage to that area would be extremely unlikely. There is NO reason a tire should be engineered to these outrageous specs and this particular Bell tire is not recommended.
