Review on 2-Pack Keyless Entry Remote 🔑 for Toyota Dealer Installed Systems (BAB237131-022, 08191-00870) by Nigel Morris

It was a great job. I recognized my FCC ID on the body of the broken fob. From all my research, this is the only key fob that will work on a 2002 Toyota Tundra (I have a Limited) with an RS3000 security box. The RS3000 is not even mentioned in the manual. Poking my head under the dash next to the gas pedal, I snapped a few photos under the dash. Detecting the green circle (reset button) is the only way I've identified the gray RS3000 box. Out of frustration I removed the faceplate, but you don't have to if you're using a PAL. Follow the instructions that come with the RS3000 key fob. Use a flashlight and look for a gray RS3000 with a green button located under the dash, above the gas pedal and next to the steering column. Follow the instructions, including turning on the ignition (not ACC). Pick up the pen and press the green button. YOUR BUDDY will notify you when the lights on the front safety panel (near your left knee on the lower dash) come on. You won't feel any movement or green button click. I think you have five seconds to press the button on your key fob. Continue to follow the instructions which include turning off the ignition and closing the car door (I skipped those first few steps but they are part of the instructions). These remotes look like my originals, gray outside instead of black (two different security systems, one dealer installed and one factory installed). If you have never owned a key fob and do not know your FCC ID, your system may be different from the RS3000 and function differently. I now have two new working keychains and it was worth the effort.
