Picked up a cheap 275 gallon horizontal fuel tank; We needed something for off-road diesel since it's a lot cheaper than street stuff. We place the tank in a covered area next to a detached garage. Of course we also need to pump fuel from the tank to the tractor, so we took this little pump to work. We installed the pump semi-permanently on the tank, with a rigid fuel filter mounted underneath. The pump housing is held in place by two large magnets that are bolted to the frame. The 12 volt power comes from a battery which we connected to a service box which also powers a winch mounted on an overhead beam and used to raise and clean the tractor's mower deck. Connecting the hose and installing the fuel injector required a bit of assembly, but nothing major. After completion we tested it and everything worked as expected. BUT. We tested it on a day that was warmer than the average Maine December. Once we got back to normal temps we found that the fuel hose was VERY stiff and difficult to maneuver since it doesn't have a swiveling nozzle port. We've replaced the hose with something more flexible for cold weather and added a swivel connector. This combination makes the solution more efficient for us and I would definitely give the kit 5 stars if the hose was of better quality.
