Review on πŸ”§ Universal TPMS Activation and Reset Tool: ATEQ VT30 for Sensor Decoding, Domestic & European TPMS Resets, Manual & Auto Relearns by Wes Thao

I've never been able to wake up/read TPMS sensors, multiple vehicles.

I was trying to use this unit to wake up the TPMS sensors and read the IDs so I can program them into my ECU myself so the dealer doesn't have to. Well, even after trying my best to update the firmware on the device and also trying multiple tires/sensors, I just couldn't get this device to read anything I had, even though I had the right settings. I know if it was a random event or something but in the long run it didn't matter since I could get my ID directly from the seller. This would be a good device for a store dealing with a lot of unknowns. TPMS sensors (and it actually worked) but for a human I wouldn't recommend buying them unless you know what sensor ID you have. You can contact your tire supplier/dealer for this information as it needs to be registered.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • you could go for a newer model
