The top of the filter is cracked!

The top of some filters are torn during insulation, the plastic is very thin and the overall height of the filter changes when I tighten the filter they break. So far this has been done with two filters and now I'm bringing them up to select the shortest ones. I'm not sure if this is due to improper assembly, a crooked top or bottom, or improperly cut cone material. They really last a long time and if they didn't break they would be very valuable.

Pros

WASHABLE AND REUSABLE - This filter can be washed multiple times but will work effectively as long as the cartridge itself is not contaminated or after a replacement cycle we recommend protecting the filtered water from re-contamination.
