Review on ๐Ÿšด 4ucycling Men's Windproof Fleece Cycling Pants for Outdoor Activities and Various Sports by Timothy Castillo

I am concerned about the safety class of the 4ucycling pants

First of all I have never tested any Revain product although I have bought a lot of Revain stuff over the years. In fact, this is the first time I've felt the need to write a review related to security. I was hoping to use these pants for cycling and maybe running. They look good and fit well. However, looking at the label, I noticed the "safety category" and the denomination GB-18401-2010, C class (apparently this is the Chinese textile safety standard). Well, Class-C is for items that shouldn't come into contact with human skin. General. Even zippers and buttons have to be class B after a little research (class A is an even higher standard for children's products). Class C is for curtains and other similar items. Grade-C can contain fairly high levels of toxins like arsenic that you really don't want to put into your body as if you were wearing this product on a regular basis. I suspect you most importantly don't want to wear this as a garment in full contact with your skin while sweating and opening your skin pores like I intended to. The label does not identify any materials other than polyester. Toxic substances are likely to be present in polyester, waterproofing agents or other materials that have been applied to the product but are not listed on the label. I have no idea what the toxins are, although the safety label says it has something very toxic in it. Given how great the Chinese are at consumer protection (and by that I don't mean at all, they don't seem too concerned about their people's safety when it comes to toxic milk, infant formula and all), the fact that the Chinese decided that people shouldn't wear this product says a lot. Feel free to do your own research but if you plan on wearing this in contact with your skin and are generally health conscious I would recommend avoiding this product.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
