My original conon d500 was stolen, so I went out and bought a new one. I gave it a lot of thought before picking it, and what ultimately swayed my decision was the price and the number of positive reviews. The main drawback of this device is that it is impossible to tell if a picture came out due to the lack of a screen, which made the user want to return it after only two days of use due to the blurry frames and the fact that there was no auto focus. This was true even when shooting landscapes in good lighting. Eventually, I adjusted the settings to my liking and got used to it, but the want to go back or upgrade my model never really went away. The video quality is also average, although it is not cinematic. In most cases, where Canon was willing to bend, Nikon has been uncooperative.
