It's not white either, but an ugly gray-beige color. , which is annoying as I purposely ordered a 'white' box instead of the usual black as it needed to be hung on a white wood paneled wall and I wanted it to blend in. This ugly thing stands out like a sore thumb and I had to buy spray paint to get it as white as it should be. The box seems strong enough for a small key box, the hooks are quite small so individual keys fit better. The lock comes with 2 keys, not ideal for 3 people but totally my fault for thinking I had ordered the combination lock version. They give you dowels and some flimsy looking screws to attach, but I'd probably want to use something more permanent. more of a key organizer than a security device, for e 6 keys!
