I ordered this, it was delivered and I've tried using it. I failed. For those who want to get all that dirt on those gaudy cases, the problem was that when I opened the stapler to load I assumed it would load the same as the manual stapler I've been using recently and staples around the mount would wrap rod and spring coming out from behind. The staples actually fit, but don't reach the tool when trying to close the "Magazine" (as the instructions say). To be fair, DeWalt takes a small part of the blame for my failing to follow my intuition with the tool and actually reading the manual. It states that the user opens the store, the staples are loaded into the store, after which the store closes. The attached image shows the tool, the tool with the magazine open (but no arrows pointing to the part they mean by "magazine"). So, from what I've been told, my process may have been correct. I contacted the seller - "It doesn't work. Now what?" The seller said to return it for a penny, which I did and received a timely refund. Trusting DeWalt very much, I bought another one (the first one must have been an anomaly!). I open it, again I try to put the staples the wrong way round, and again I lose myself. What's going on is interesting! And another odd thing - the staples come in too large a group to fit on this spring bar. Why didn't they make the main group (cluster? Is there a better technical term for this?) exactly to match the instrument? To solve this I turn the instrument over and see a gap at the bottom of the instrument. Right where the staples go. And about the size of the main group. You don't think? Yes the band goes right into what I now know is a magazine. The tool works great, my project is ready in 30 minutes. Nice tool but note that the magazine is accessed from the bottom of the tool when the lid is open.
