This is a very good quality collar and works great with my 85+lb Rhodesian Ridgeback. It's definitely a solid and heavy collar (weight wise too), but since we really only use it for walks and my dog is big, I don't see the weight as a downside. However, it may matter to you if you plan to use it as an everyday collar. The retractable handle is in the perfect spot, comfortable, works well and I don't feel like I'm choking my dog like I would do the same with a regular collar. It worked great on our daily walks! Definitely recommended for dogs that pull when walking or just as extra comfort for big dogs!
