This hood is not the lightest I have ever used. But for the price I'm very happy with it. The view through the lens is very clear. The controls are easy to operate with gloves. The shell is more flexible, more like hard rubber than hard plastic. But it holds its shape and I think it will take a beating better thanks to the hard shells that most cooker hoods have. The graphics are crisp and somewhat retro/old school; what I like. All in all a great performance hood without the Miller or Lincoln price tag. Better quality than cheap imports on eBay or Harbor.
