Review on Wiistar Extractor Optical Splitter Converter by Justin Abrams

I bought this product to route audio from my Nintendo Switch to headphones when projecting onto an HDMI TV. customer described. Using a 5V/2A AC adapter did not resolve this issue. The solution I found to solve this problem stabilizes the video signal but sacrifices the HD resolution. When connecting to a TV via the HDMI output, the display signal was often cut off, but only at resolutions above 480p. When displaying an image in 480p resolution, the video signal is transmitted to the TV without interruption. The HD video signal is unstable only when connected to a TV. Projecting onto a monitor with an HDMI-to-DVI adapter provides a stable image at any resolution, but there is no sound when connected to a monitor. This issue and my solution may not apply to all devices. When I connected my Windows PC to Audio Extractor, I was able to see a stable 720p and 1080p image on my TV. This product is likely to work better with some graphics and display devices than others. I would not recommend this product for connecting a Nintendo Switch to an HDMI TV and external speakers or headphones.
