Review on WiFi router TP-LINK Archer AX73, black by Jnis Muinieks ᠌

The product is of poor quality, I do not advise.

I ran into a few issues while using it. After the old router (TL-WDR3600), rebooting the router and getting an IP from the provider (when changing the poppy address in the router) takes 3 times longer. The feeling that in the TL-WDR3600 this functionality was separate, but here everything is in one OS. A bigger problem was the use of the function of binding poppy-addresses and IP. If in the TL-WDR3600 this was done easily and simply, then not only does it have to be done in 2 different places in the router config, it also does not work. Those. even having a hard-coded poppy that should be given a hard-coded IP - the router quite often decides to give the device a temporary IP instead of a permanent one. And if the computers are somehow not so critical (although one of the computers has a network database, and changing the IP makes it impossible to connect to the database within the network), then the problem with printers that are connected via a grid is more complicated. Because when changing the IP printer, you have to change everything on all computers, i. E. delete the old printer, re-search for the printer by IP address and add it to Windows. Technical support has been telling stories for a month, there are no clear answers, and there won’t be, as I understand it. For in their last letter I was generally accused of having something that should not be in the router, and sent to the TP for the "Japan" region))) This despite the fact that the router was bought in Hong Kong, in Player. Ru, there is a 2022 firmware, everything is in 2022) Yes, the router ated something there. Something downloaded and installed. What do I have to do with it - xs, apparently TP simply does not have answers to the glitches of their products. For, as they said, "they failed to reproduce the problem. " It's a pity that I was not able to solve the problem with the help of TP. Minus them in karma. At the moment, the only solution is to hard-code the necessary IP and other parameters in the devices themselves. Those. in the network connection settings in IP version 4. Well, in printers. At least where possible. Maybe I got married. BUT TP does not recognize this either.

Pros
  • Works. Performs some functions. Virtually no heat.
Cons
  • Glitchy and unfinished. Technical support and a router with its problems = complete trash. Based on the results of communication with the TP, over the years of using the products, it seems that only 2 people work there.
