Review on Adjustable All Metal Shower Head Holder – Polished Chrome, Universal Wall Hook Bracket with Brass Pivot Ball for Hand Held Showerheads by Todd Wigfall

No better than the cheaper metal holders, but slightly worse.

I do not recommend this among the available alternatives. It's well done, but it's a prime example of a silly design flaw that so many of them have. The tiny pads, which can be gripped with a wrench, are MUCH smaller, making them very difficult to tighten or remove. The rounded side will cause the key to slip off, round the edges of the pads and damage the surface. This is such a silly oversight and so easy to fix - just make a proper gripping surface with a wrench. You can probably install it once without too much trouble, buy it if you need to remove it to fix leaks (mine leaked a lot, took a lot of tape and extra washers to fix), you most likely will Scratches and gouges get surface even when you're trying to grab some padding. Also, I prefer these holders that have a ball joint on the holder rather than on the pipe connection - one less potential leak, although mine didn't leak there. Ultimately, the alternatives are equally well made, cheaper and sometimes have better designs. There is no reason to pay more for it. And having bought several products from this company, this is my overall assessment. Their quality is not better, but the price is higher. Wouldn't recommend and would have returned mine if it hadn't damaged the finish so badly.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
