We hesitated whether to buy one of the cheap plastic shower holders or this high quality all metal (chromed brass) one . Cheap plastic ones work, but after counting the number of times we've either repaired or replaced them, we decided to buy the all-metal HammerHead. We are very happy with our purchase. I deducted a star, a bit picky on our part because the chrome was pitted. It's on the side we can't see so we installed it (looks really nice) but you would think that due to the effort they…

What We Needed

We have a shower head with a Culligan filter. If you have one, you know how heavy it is. But for our rusty well water, it really helps to get rid of the sulfur smell. So even though our original holder broke, we bought another one. Of course, that meant buying a brand new shower head because we couldn't find any other bracket at the time. So we weren't too surprised when the bracket cracked again five years later. I don't know exactly what it's made of, some kind of plastic, but when I was…

metal > plastic! Benjamin Franklin was right (again).

Excellent all metal brass shower head holder to replace the broken plastic holder. I had already ordered a complete shower head replacement with plastic hose holder from Revain when I saw this all metal holder. Both are about $25, so I ordered both. When I saw the metal bracket I returned the full replacement. My old 72-inch hose and showerhead (Vive manual showerhead, $25 at Revain) still worked well after nearly two years, and I occasionally soaked the head in vinegar overnight to clear…

No better than the cheaper metal holders, but slightly worse.

I do not recommend this among the available alternatives. It's well done, but it's a prime example of a silly design flaw that so many of them have. The tiny pads, which can be gripped with a wrench, are MUCH smaller, making them very difficult to tighten or remove. The rounded side will cause the key to slip off, round the edges of the pads and damage the surface. This is such a silly oversight and so easy to fix - just make a proper gripping surface with a wrench. You can probably install it…

In a word quality!

available Finally! Subtle solid brass shower holder with chrome finish. It seems that shower head manufacturers have lowered the price of everything and included a piece of plastic that holds the shower head in place. Like other reviewers, I had to keep replacing this piece. I couldn't find anything decent on the market other than plastic replacements until I found the Hammerhead. This shower head holder is like a work of art. It's heavy and the finish is immaculate. It's made the way it was…

Use this awesome shower head as the basis for an excellent DIY install!

The picture shows three separate components from three different manufacturers that together form a bulletproof hand shower. We first spent over $70 on a Delta In2uition showerhead that was complete plastic trash. It's a shame to pay so much for plastic waste. I returned it and set about building my own airtight and solid setup. I started with the shower head holder, which is almost always made of plastic in most sets. Folks, this Hammerhead Shower Holder is the holder you've been looking for…
