I was really excited about this product as I have five children and as a military family we are trying to be more self sufficient. I jumped for joy when FedEx arrived and quickly unpacked my treasure. I read the manual and made sure I knew what I was doing. Since my wheat berries are frozen and not drying out, I decided to leave out some of the corn to "get rid of the dirt" as instructed. A minute later (no kidding) this thing stopped spinning, started smoking, and now my house smells like burnt popcorn. I called the number on the book and was told I would have to pay for shipping both ways to have this item repaired. Serious?! I just paid $218 for it! yes it's back For the price paid and the fact that this happened the first time I used it I should get a free replacement. However, I now do not trust this product at all and will not buy any other.
