I have this pump on a 327 in my 1964 Corvette and it has been great so far. Motor temperature is very stable on warm days, and the pump itself probably weighs about half the original cast iron. The pump housing has a slightly different geometry than the Chevy OEM cast iron pump and I found I had to use shorter bolts to connect the pulley and fan assembly to the pump shaft flange to keep the bolt shafts out of the way. Additionally, the 1964 327 application requires a pipe plug in the top port and a hose barb on the side, both 1/2 in. NPT. None of these were included, so you'll need to get them separately from a supplier like McMaster. Carr.
