I love these towels! They go perfectly with my sleek black and white stainless steel kitchen. They are very soft and absorbent. I tossed them in the washer and dryer upon receipt and have seen no problems with them. I saw a long thread break off one of the towels, but I couldn't find any threads unraveling or falling apart. When used to dry dishes, they absorbed a lot of water and dried fairly quickly. They also do not accumulate unpleasant odors, unlike other towels. A win for this price range! However, I learned a valuable lesson the other day: Microfiber towels are made of synthetic materials that MELT like plastic when in direct contact with heat. When I was boiling water on a glass stove, I spilled some water and wiped it off with a towel. Big mistake. The fibers that came in contact with the hot plate melted instantly, and I had to turn off the heat, let them cool, and then scrape off the hardened residue with a piece of metal I had on hand. The fibers melted from the towel now have a slight indentation that is no longer fluffy. Luckily I didn't use most of the towel or several towels. This does NOT reflect the product itself. Rather, it is a reflection of my ignorance. Microfiber cloths can't stand the heat! Keep in mind. Use oven mitts to pick up hot items and use paper towels or plain cotton towels to wipe down hot surfaces. or you will regret it.
