Just a tip based on my experience if you are doing the installation yourself. I used some sanitary silicone in the valve and on the cartridge itself. As I held the old cartridge and the new one side by side, I noticed that the new one is slightly longer than the original. I tightened the nut holding the cartridge and found the grip to be harder to turn on and off than before. So I removed the handle and loosened the nut a bit. The cartridge did not leak under the nut, and the handle moved more freely. my two cents Hope this helps someone.
