My wife and I play a lot. And my kids play with us. I grew up playing a game we called Knock or Mormon Bridge and this is an improved version of that game! Skull King is similar to other trick-taking games like Rook or Spades, where players bet on the number of tricks they will take. In Skull King, the bet is made at the same time. We're still hitting the table with 1.2.3. BET. You will then receive points based on the accuracy of your bet. Skull King has bonus points for sluffing (zero bet). There are cards to sluff or drag with. There are also scoring cards. And there are pirates who take it all, with the Skull King outperforming all pirates and getting extra points for "recruiting" pirates, the joke played. All options make this game very entertaining and worth buying! CONS: Many special maps make the game less predictable than traditional stunt games. My wife doesn't really like the extra variation. This makes the game less serious and a little less strategic. PROS: The game moves pretty fast. Suitable for groups and all ages. It has a lot of strategy, but the gameplay is still simple and fun. You can't help but smile when the Skull King stabs you. If you like trick card games, you will probably love this game. For the money, simplicity, age range, and number of players, I give this game 5 stars out of 5.
