I bought a Dutton-Lainson 6121 spare tire carrier to replace a POS Harbor Freight wheel carrier which broke leaving the spare tire dangling and ready to fall onto the road. This HEAVY DUTY spare wheel holder, very strong and sturdy, good thick welds and thick metal. Some people complain that the tire is not anti-theft, just add a cable and lock and the tire is anti-theft. drilled an extra hole and welded on 3 cleats using the same nuts as trailer cleats. With the supplied eyelet screw, however, it would be 100% functional.
