Easy to use, good value for money

I'm new to this frame capture game but personally I don't see how the process can be much easier than using this device. This is a simple black box that serves as a meeting point between the cable going to your computer and a cable going to your console and TV. The process seems to be as slimmed down as possible. Setting up the software is easy and the interface is easy to understand for the most part. If your computer has enough horsepower to run it, it should be easy to get started. It doesn't need a powerful computer, but a good, reliable computer from the last few years will get it working properly. As you can imagine, I don't know much about computer specs, but it also shows how well the product works. There's even a basic suite for editing your footage, which is nothing fancy but nice to have and will add value to your purchase. Along the way, I ran into a few minor issues that I had to scour the internet for. looking for answers but nothing I couldn't find an answer to with some research and to be honest most of what you need to know is either in the box or on their website. You don't need to know much. Just install the software and use the appropriate cables that are included. It's got everything you need for modern and retro consoles, and the Xbox One makes great use of that too (I think you can get it working with PS4 too). Overall I can't say much bad about it. It's a great device for people like me who want to get started and not get bogged down in too many technical things, but there are plenty of options in the software if you decide to tinker. Now I just need to learn how to use the video editing kit.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add
