Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Gabriel 61616 High-Performance Shock Absorber by Christopher Millet

Revainrating 1 out of 5

On both shock absorbers, the rubber bushings came out of the housing.

Bought a set of 2 rear shocks for my '97 Jeep Wrangler and within a year the rubber bushing on top of the shock slipped out of the body. This caused the round shock body to smack squarely against the round mounting rod, resulting in a loud bang of metal on metal every time I hit the slightest bump. These rubber bushings were meant to be pressed in and chemically bonded to the metal, but something wasn't done right as both shocks failed in the same way. I hope Gabriel lives up to its limited lifetime warranty.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Hard to tell
