Perfect fit for oVirt SRIOV functionality

I bought this NIC for my Dell PowerEdge R710 with oVirt Engine so I can use virtual functions for host networking. Installation was easy and the card was recognized without any problems. Since this was part of a previous install, I had to manually edit the grub configuration to add the following to enable SRIOV and PCI passthrough: intel_iommu=on intel_iommu=pt vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 pci=realloc on this card and on a fresh install of oVirt allowed you to add these settings when adding a host without having to change the GRUB configuration.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost never
