Excellent 4-port Ethernet network card.

I needed a card that would allow us to set up a three workstation lab for VMware. This card made it easy to connect. VMware generally supports all INTEL NICs. Although these are third-party VIBs, they are not always easy to install. With this card, it became child's play.

Pros
  • Good cause
Cons
  • So-so

Great NIC for the price

It worked great on an old thin Acer Aspire PC that I refurbished. I just added the card and Ubuntu recognized it immediately. Works much better than the Acer Aspire's built-in network adapter. If you have an old 10/100Mbps network card or the one built into the motherboard is not working, try this. Highly recommended network cards from H! Fiber.

Pros
  • Big selection
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Powered by PFSense - Computer Components

1G Gigabit Ethernet Converged Network Adapter (NIC) compatible with Broadcom BCM5751. Realtek route. Threw the order and 2 days on my doorstep and will! Recognized and workable. Yay.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Can't remember

Excellent network card

This card is very powerful and offers full gigabit performance. In terms of broader usage, this card will feel the same as the current-gen $300 quad-port NICs. If you need to get a new one, this can't be better. However, I urge EVERYONE to look at used server hardware. You can get a similar quad-port NIC for less than $20, and again, you'll have trouble finding performance differences. I've built an entire tower out of used components (both by recycling my old computers and by buying used…

My problems solved. in computer components

I had freezing and glitches with sound for about 6 months. Eventually I realized that my internal network card was to blame. So I ordered this card to replace the internal card and haven't had any glitches since. And my ping is lower and the download speed has increased to a max I used to only have at around 65%. I'm glad I didn't skimp on my networking equipment.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • Without insurance

Perfect fit for oVirt SRIOV functionality

I bought this NIC for my Dell PowerEdge R710 with oVirt Engine so I can use virtual functions for host networking. Installation was easy and the card was recognized without any problems. Since this was part of a previous install, I had to manually edit the grub configuration to add the following to enable SRIOV and PCI passthrough: intel_iommu=on intel_iommu=pt vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 pci=realloc on this card and on a fresh install of oVirt allowed you to add these settings…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
