This fiber optic SFP adapter is compatible with the Cisco SG-200 and SG-300 Ethernet switches. It may be compatible with others, but it definitely works in those - I've tested it extensively. Another reviewer complained that this is a renamed part that doesn't work in Cisco switches. This is not a rebrand, this is a genuine Cisco part. It's not from Linksys (which was forked from Cisco some time ago). However, it is not designed to work with Cisco Catalyst Enterprise switches. Catalyst SFP modules have completely different part numbers. The good news about the Cisco SG300 series (but not the SG200) is that this switch now runs a true version of Cisco IOS software, making it compatible with the IOS command line interface (CLI). The IOS update also completely changed the GUI interface, which is excellent. However, remember to save any configuration changes you make via the CLI or GUI. Unlike other inexpensive managed switches, the SG300 doesn't automatically save configuration changes (this behavior is also common with Cisco Catalyst line switches, so Cisco just sticks to the order).
