Worked fine at first. but in the end my rubber broke (twice already)

At first I was very happy about it. But now I have divided the rubber part twice. I don't over tighten (especially the second time). it's almost not there. but still the rubber broke vertically. Now I'll look for something else (used on a Jeep TJ aftermarket valve cover)
