to use with my Samsung Galaxy to watch movies on my TV that doesn't have Wi- Internet access features via fi, bluetooth or ethernet technology. It took me a little while to figure this out due to the menu options that popped up when I connected my phone, but I was able to correctly choose to send the image to my TV via the adapter and HDMI cable. The only downside is the lack of a USB-C port to charge your phone while sending a signal. The Lightning to Digital AV Adapter I had for my old iPhone had this ability, and it was nice to save the battery from dying in the middle of a movie if the phone wasn't fully charged.
