The wifi on my old laptop has been working for the past few months and I'm tired of troubleshooting. I decided to try this adapter because I thought it was cheap. So if it doesn't work well, I won't have much money ($19.99). I received the adapter from Revain in a couple of days and it was easy to set up and get up and running (less than 5 minutes). After installing the adapter for the first time, I tested the speed in the same room as my router. I only got half the download speed I was expecting. At first I thought "You get what you pay for." However, I restarted the laptop and ran another speed test and now I have the full download speed I was expecting. I don't know if the laptop/PC should be restarted after installing the adapter, but it worked for me! My router (Netgear) is in the basement of a two-story house. I tested the speeds around the house and got a great connection and download speeds two floors faster than the router. I haven't had this device for a long time, but so far everything is fine. The connection stays consistent and the signal is strong everywhere in my house (this is partly because I have a high-end Netgear router, which also produces a strong signal). There were no problems with the automatic connection to the router when booting the laptop. For the price, ease of setup, and call quality, I highly recommend this adapter.
