I know a lot of people are probably playing this in the dark (and it worked great for me when I tested it), but for me it was mainly needed to get the light in my room during the day, which never seemed good enough for Oculus Quest 2 tracking. I removed the plastic cover from this light and covered the light sensor with a small piece of aluminum foil, then put the plastic cover back on and placed the light high on the wall behind me, facing the center of the floor. I then plugged it into a switch I keep on my desk and only turn it on when I want to play VR. Closing the light sensor means it's always on, so I needed an on/off switch to control the switch. Works perfectly! No more missed hits or floating controllers due to poor tracking. Good product!
