No helpful instructions were included and in fact a part was missing but it wasn't necessary for my installation. It fits in the back of a Tesla Model S (2016 for me) and no drilling is required. I simply removed the hooks from the top corners, then lowered the rear seats and looped the metal U-hook holding the seat. This holds it in place, doesn't damage anything and is easy to remove. This should apply to all previous Model S years, as long as you have those U hooks when lowering the seat you should be fine.
