I would rate this game higher if the manual doesn't assume you already know how to play the game. They really don't make much sense. We play a lot of board games, and after studying them for about 30 minutes, we still got the game extremely wrong. Also, the "playmats” included in the rulebook are printed on the front and back of the SAME PAGE. So you can't legally cut and use them - you have to scan them and print out copies. Why even include four copies of a playmat when you can't use them? It's actually not that difficult a game, and it's quite a lot of fun when played properly. When we met a friend who had played before, he was able to briefly explain the game to us and what we did wrong. He looked at the instructions and confirmed that they were poorly written and confusing. If we had played according to his instructions, I probably would have given the game four stars.
