This is a beautiful wooden Backgammon set. On opening, inside is an inlaid wood playing area. Looks and feels like solid wood with inlays to me, and it's been finished so nicely.The game comes in a velvet-like storage bag. This is highly giftable and presented very well. It has magnetic closers which do their job. All the pieces can be stored in a small bag. It's a decent size so players can sit opposite each other at a table.My only complaint is the checkers have very little weight to them and

I will be taking this with us when we stay at our friends house over Christmas. She has everything - but I think she will appreciate playing backgammon with us and our leaving it with her. We ordered this in the 19" tournament size, in the color Light Brown. Many things we liked about this set, few we didn't.* Item arrived well packaged; this backgammon set arrived enclosed in a velvet bag inside its own box which was then placed inside a shipping box.* Wooden case itself is beautiful with smooth sides, I'm not worried about splinters. Buy this, you won't be disappointed. The quality is great and it looks beautiful in person. But the item doesn't compare to the amazing customer service. When we received the item there were a couple of checkers missing, we reached out to the seller and they were awesome, constantly keeping tabs on us. They did all the work, I didn't have to beg them to give service like one has to do at other sellers. When the replacement checkers arrived, there was a whole bag of them, not just the ones…

I had an initial problem with the set. One missing piece and one damaged piece. I contacted them and they made it right. Once contact was made with them, they were very responsive. Replacement pieces were sent along with some extras. Seems like a good company and the product is well made.

I love the fact that whole set, including the chips and dice holders are made of a quality wood. It is also very beautiful .

This is a nice set. It comes in a bag to keep it protected, so you can travel with it. It's easy to set up and has nice quality craftsmanship. It's always been a favorite game and this set is really nice. It would make a great gift during the holidays!

The standout feature for this product is the exterior. It is textured like dragon scales. The playing area is smooth and nicely designed. When not in use, you can store the accessories folded up inside the game and it is secured by 4 neodymium magnets. I gave this as a gift and the recipient loved it!
