We needed a grate around our stove to keep our little one out. These gates are practically the only ones that meet all the requirements. We only wanted to buy a couple of gates and assemble them, but the double door feature was perfect. While it can be used to cover/protect a 192" span, you probably aren't trying to protect a 192" length exactly. It comes with x6.24" wide panels and a x1.48" double door (pole-to-pole measurement). The actual width of a folding door is 40 inches. A double door is required to access our oven, but it is not well designed. One side swings outwards with just a latch on the bottom to prevent it from swinging inwards. The other side has a double latch that requires it to be pulled over the base rail which can then swing in or out. With no real structure in the middle of the doors, the door, which only opens to one side, is very free in the sense that it swings a lot. When my little one tries to shake it (which he loves to do), that area of the door swings back and forth a lot. I don't know why they didn't double lock both sides as that would make the doors much stronger and eliminate almost any wobbling. As I mentioned earlier, if you're looking to cover an area less than 192 inches long, keep the dimensions of the panels in mind as you'll be working with a solid 48-inch and 24-inch width. My wingspan was 124 inches and the gate didn't reach wall to wall to my hearth. I had to make an extension for the gate to get to the wall. Which brings me to how this gate is arranged. Not every panel has the same design. It's hard to explain, but essentially I had to remove the ends of one style bar and attach them to another to make this work. If you're not handy, snipping off the ends is tricky (but not impossible). They are only held in place by a protrusion in the metal to keep the ends from coming loose. I had to press in these tabs with a bar and clamp. Again, I don't understand why the gate is designed the way it is. If all gate panels were the same, this additional work would not be required. I'm only giving the gate 3 stars due to design issues, but the gate works as intended. I wish they had made it in black because it really was the only gate on the market that wasn't insanely expensive.
