Review on ☂️ Clicgear Adjustable Umbrella Mount for Perfect Angle Placement by Jimmy Bores

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I ordered it, tested it and sent it back. In calm weather, however, it works as an umbrella holder.

Recommendation: If you live in a part of the country where the wind is least, this adjustable umbrella holder will probably suit you. If it's still windy, think twice. See my thoughts below. This is a good umbrella holder to replace the standard umbrella holder that comes with the Clicgear golf cart. This will customize/shape your umbrella to fit your needs. In my humble opinion this should be Clicgear's 'standard' umbrella holder (a little pricey to buy what should be standard) for all Clicqear carts since the golf cart handle repositioning. A high position of the handle tilts the umbrella forward, a level position of the handle keeps the umbrella in a horizontal position. Again, using a standard umbrella holder and depending on what position you place the handle in can angle your umbrella into an undesirable position (see photos and my Clicgear 3.5 golf cart review). So an adjustable mount may seem desirable, but in windy conditions (10-20 mph) you still need to constantly monitor your umbrella's position. When you're upwind, you're simply dealing with wind resistance. If you got a tailwind and tilted your umbrella forward your cart could tip over, this has only happened to me when using the standard umbrella holder and dual UV umbrella (also returned). In my opinion, the umbrella holder takes quite a lot of stress and wear in normal winds. Consequently, stress points and wear can exacerbate adjustment knob tightening problems over time. I personally decided against a UV screen (separate test of the Clicgear Double Canopy screen) and will solve the problem with other means. Sun (Frogg Togg's cooling towel, mister).
