I had another USB to RS485 converter that I have been using for a little over a year. It cost a little over $100. , but I could never get it to work properly on my Win7 laptop at work, so I always had to pull out my personal laptop (an old WinXP box) just to program certain devices. GearMo installed with no issues and connected to my devices right away on the first try. My only concern is that I want the terminal block to be built directly into the cable and not onto the PCB. Not a big deal, but it would be a little more compact and cleaner. I really don't see much need for a DB9 connection. I can try GearMo USA-482422 instead. I plan to buy an additional one or two to keep as backup units.
