This is a great and easy pasta recipe that only takes 12 minutes in the microwave per serving. It's true that 12 minutes in the microwave might seem longer than when you're busy cooking pasta the traditional way, but it's actually at least half the time when you factor in waiting for the water to boil. However, it is important to follow the instructions and not to use the lid in the microwave. It does not harm the product; It's just that the container and lid are too hot to drain the noodles after you remove them. I discovered this the hard way when I dropped my portion while draining :). However, the cold lid allows you to take the container and it drains very well, pour it into a bowl and get a perfectly cooked pasta every time. Measuring holes also keep me from overeating or wasting it. The portion size is perfect and lets me know exactly how much I'm eating. Just one or two small flaws that I don't think should be deducted a star. First, of course, you can't add sauce mid-cooking, which is the difference between good pasta and great pasta. Second, some people like to add salt to their pasta water to improve the flavor. In this case, you may need to cook it a little longer than the instructions say, as the salt will naturally raise the boiling point of your water a bit. But for what it was designed for, making pasta quickly and easily with minimal water and a pot/strainer, this is a really great product!
