I bought this as a test upgrade for one of my old LAPN600s to take advantage of my Gigabit WANs. The first issue was that it wasn't a plug-in replacement, as some small rubber pads on the top prevented the AP from fully snapping into the LAPN600's cradle. I could probably "modify" those rubber feet (unless they were on top), but as it turns out, this device wasn't a holder. The second problem was that after installing and setting up, I found that all my HP printers were missing from the LAN. It was like there was LAN isolation, except that while the feature is available by default when disabled, I could see that it was disabled in the web interface. I finally got the printers back by disabling both band steering and isolation between SSIDs. Neither of them were supposed to produce the effect I was seeing, but I never bothered to find out which was the problem because. Once the device was actually up and running, performance and network throughput were measured and found to be poor, with WiFi speeds coming in significantly worse than the old Linksys AP model it was meant to replace. So this idea is returned to the manufacturer for a refund.
