Half-built WAP replacement for small businesses

Need to use RADIUS for WPA2-Enterprise? They need to log out of the cloud setup and set up the devices directly from their admin interfaces. I'm not sure if that means you lose monitoring as well, but it definitely doesn't mean cloud reconfiguration or intervention if problems arise. It is also unknown how this will affect roaming and customer handover. The Guest Access Portal is buggy, disconnecting users long before timeouts should be triggered. No it bueno.

Firmware update warning!

Be very careful with firmware updates on this device, otherwise you may lose functionality and settings. Hardware wise the AC2600 was good, but Linksys' bad decision made me post this rating as a warning and to express my disappointment. That is also the reason for the two stars. Before this fiasco I probably would have given it 4 or 5 stars. Let me explain… Previously, you had the option to use the Linksys cloud solution to manage or set up a hotspot locally via the built-in web interface. The

Business class is a must for the new era of home streaming

If you are using Wi-Fi provided by your ISP's router then this is a must read. First of all, let's be clear that this is a business-class access point and not a home wireless router. Access points don't have firewalls, so they sit behind your home router, not in its place. The benefit of this is that they only have one job to do and they do it better than any wireless router you can buy. If you plan to use this at home (my personal recommendation), you may need to turn off Wi-Fi on your home…

  • Crumpled

I bought the previous model LAPAC1750 a year ago. My intention with my network was to group the APs together so they work together on the same SSID. When I wanted to buy a second access point, the LAPAC1750 was out of stock, so I bought this one. I hooked it up today and tech support said they are not compatible for clustering as the firmware is not the same so I have to replace mine that is a year old. I asked what happens if they change it again in the future and I want to add a third one to…

Works great if. in network products

Arrived on time. The default recommended cloud activation didn't work, I had to use the local PC access setting. 2 hours with technical support and no solution. Works great with local control when connecting to a cloud hotspot disables wifi radio and shows it online when it was offline. So offline without cloud management or access has good coverage and performance. There will be an update when they get the cloud service working.

Difficult to set up and then poor performance.

I bought this as a test upgrade for one of my old LAPN600s to take advantage of my Gigabit WANs. The first issue was that it wasn't a plug-in replacement, as some small rubber pads on the top prevented the AP from fully snapping into the LAPN600's cradle. I could probably "modify" those rubber feet (unless they were on top), but as it turns out, this device wasn't a holder. The second problem was that after installing and setting up, I found that all my HP printers were missing from the LAN. It

Replacement hotspot

Replacement for an old device, requires a double strap to support the jack. Installed a smoke/carbon monoxide alarm in my shop/man cave in a restored barn. I needed a nest product because I wasn't always in the building and used the wood stove every now and then. I liked the fact that it was POE as I have cameras that use POE inside and outside the building and it made installation easy. I love Linksys business products. I have a Linksys LAPAC2600C AC2600 at home and would like to use similar…
