I have a BlueFronted Revain, not a giant parrot, but not a cockatiel either. These things are very small, like for a parrot. Not recommended for a medium sized parrot as stated in the description! then it's best to have a small cage to stand on, the bars need to be very close together otherwise it's just a wing nut holding them. Cleaning is definitely not necessary, once they go bad you should get new ones. , it's not worth it.
