The outside of the slow cooker needs cleaning. I wiped it off with a damp paper towel and the writing on the handle faded. The slow cooker was only 2 1/2 months old. I contacted Hamilton Beach to get a new pen. They said that there are no spare parts for this multi cooker. They will replace it, but the consumer pays for shipping. They didn't offer a refund and claimed it wasn't bought from them. Bought from them by Revain. Customer service is terrible. Offering a defective product and the same defective product is not a solution. Given this experience with Hamilton Beach (rather than Revain, which helped me a lot), I will never buy Hamilton Beach products again. The inside of the ceramic pot is also difficult to clean. Cooking residue sticks to the sides and must be removed by soaking and rubbing.
