I promise you, if you fix most of your own food/beverages at home, this is something you never knew you needed. I'm using them to make my own iced coffees in the morning and the measurements on the side allow me to just pour in my milk. Saves me time and money in more ways than one. I can skip the middle man of both the drive thru and the measuring cups I'd have to wash later. The reason it's so important that I hit my measurements properly is not a particular recipe but I count calories and I don't want to be adding too much of anything in my drinks. I look forward to trying to mix my own teas as well. I'm a little annoyed that I'll have to poke a hole for my straws in the lids, as they're solid, but I can't be mad at that. It's just the way they're made. I just wanted to mention that just in case it's a deal breaker for you. All a matter of preference.
